Refurbishment and extension of a grade II-listed private residential terraced house including a semi-underground glass box and a mansard roof extension
The aim of the project was to refurbish the existing grade II-listed building so that it is compliant with current building control standards. In particular the lack of thermal insulation had to be addressed as some spaces were so extremely cold that they were unusable.
In addition to that there were requirements for an additional bedroom, a new and a refurbished bathroom and a renewed kitchen and dining area.
These spaces have been provided in the shape of a completely underpinned and renewed lower ground floor, a semi-underground glass box extension, damp-proofed vaults and a mansard roof extension.
