Student accommodation-led mixed use scheme in Sheffield's creative industries quarter
The refurbished Grade-II listed industrial courtyard complex, contains a restaurant and café on the ground floor with two storeys of office space above. A new six-storey student accommodation block has been built adjacent to the existing building.
In keeping with the original street layout, the scheme is organised around a central courtyard, providing amenity space for the development's inhabitants.
As much of the existing building was retained as was structurally viable, with the new building set back from the street clearly distinguished from the original building fabric.
