Creation of new multipurpose recreation space for the family
Set within a conservation area in Camden, the project provides an escape for the family, who all use the space in different ways; as a living area, workshop, gym, office or just a place to hang out with friends.
MAP architecture have worked with the clients to meet their aspirations for a flexible space, with lots of storage, that has a rustic Scandinavian feel. Green Douglas fir beams, a sedum roof and rough-sawn larch cladding, compliment whitewashed plywood storage cupboards and contemporary detailing. The bi-folding doors fold into a recess opening the space to the terrace and blurring the edge to the garden beyond.
