The project site is located on Granville Road, which is off Mount View Road. The site lies within the Stroud Green Conservation Area and an Area of Special character.

The site is a two- storey villa-style Victorian semi detached house that has been converted into three flats.

The purpose of the proposal was to re-plan, refurbish and re-roof the top flat. The re-planning increased the number of bedrooms from 2 to 3. The roof is continuous with no. 3, being hipped with a central flat area. There were 5 dormers and 1 flat rooflight. New proposal has fewer larger dormers and 3 flat rooflights. The roof was recovered in natural grey slate.
