A garden studio for an artist
An artist needed an studio in the garden of his house.
The building was built in just three months, using a prefabricated wood system that could be constructed in a workshop and then assembled on site.
The L-shaped house generates a square garden in which there is a large ash tree. The architect kept the tree and focused the views to the corners of the garden and thus avoided seeing the house from the inside of the studio.
The plan of the studio is cross-shaped, with the main working space double-height while the other four wings that gravitate around accommodate the entrance, the storage, the sink and the living area.
