A new extension and internal alterations to the architect's own home in a conservation area
The new extension roof follows the line of the 1930s barn style roof as a catslide but is cut away to allow for existing windows.
The resultant roof form creates a generous, dramatic and light filled entrance hall which connects the ground floor spaces.
A new kitchen, dining area, laundry, WC complete the ground floor alterations.
Annual CO2 emissions data (requested in kg/m2/year) was provided as follows: 5.10 tonnes - this is as estimated by energy supplier over the period of the pandemic during which we have been WFH.
