A private house for a film director and an interior designer on the edge of Hampstead Heath
This family home sits in a wooded cul-de-sac on the eastern edge of Hampstead Heath.
Looking out over a panorama of dense woodland, the new three-storey home replaces a 1950s house which previously sat on the site.
It reads as an assembly of independent volumes distinguished by different cladding materials – timber, glazing and limestone.
The house is entered on the middle level where a large void space provides a 6.4m-tall ceiling space over the living room.
The scheme also includes an office, gallery space, and home cinema.
