Refurbishment of an existing listed church and its fit-out with the addition of a contemporary infill building

St George's Church, Tufnell Park was being returned to its original use as a place of worship by the House on the Rock Church.

The original Grade II listed building has been refurbished including the reinstatement of ornamental leaded light windows, the insertion of a new balcony into the nave and the construction of a new extension for community and ancillary uses.

The new extension contrasts with the existing building whilst respecting its dominance. Building lines reflect existing eaves levels whilst a glazed link clearly separates old from new.
