Rear house extension and refurbishment that aims to enhance the living and eating areas and provide an improved utility space

The architects rebuilt and increased the size of the utility room, decorating the interior with red glass tiles, and fitting a bespoke folding butchers’ block. Externally, the structure is clad in grey Marley fibre cement board.

A new rear extension forms a dining and kitchen area. In the kitchen, the existing granite work surfaces were retained and an extra acrylic work surface was added. Large bespoke, sprayed MDF units were combined with new Ikea cupboards. The dining room ceiling has been fitted with skylight

The structure externally clad in Ipé timber, which is continued on to the garden decking for uniformity.
