A new purpose-built community building
The instruction was to replace the existing near derelict building (considered incapable of being brought back into beneficial use cost effectively) with a new purpose built building better suited to modern community uses and without the continued maintenance likely to be required of an older reinforced sectional concrete building of this age.
Clever design and innovative use of materials has produced a light and airy building both externally and internally whilst within budget constraints.
