The refurbishment of 1960s house
Treetops was built as a modern house in 1964 and is elevated in a beautiful woodland setting.
The project brief was to create a modern house which meets family needs in the 21st century.
It would have been far easier to totally demolish and build a new house but the architect discovered the original form and shape of the roof. The design challenge was to create an extension that paid homage to the original.
