Flagship campus for City of Westminster College constructed on the site of a previous 1960s block
The seven-storey building is organised around a spiralling full-height inner atrium. Teaching facilities include specialist workshops, laboratories and studios, a large sports hall and a double-height learning centre, as well as standard class-rooms with IT facilities. The building also contains many public spaces including an exhibition area, theatre, café and the outdoor café terrace.
The building is located and designed to take best advantage of green parkland to the south and west. Its cantilevered decks to the south create solar shading and external green spaces and terracing form an integral part of the campus.
All classrooms have natural daylight, with additional study and breakout spaces of various atmospheres located throughout the building to offer flexible and manifold learning spaces.
