Refurbishment and extension of a three storey house to contain secret doors and a slide integrated into the staircase design
On the ground floor the main space, which contains defined kitchen, living and dining spaces, has been opened out and extended to create a single open plan living area. The timber clad extension, that will age over time to become grey, opens out towards the garden.
Following the client's desire to create a playful house for their children, the four bedrooms on the first floor are connected with secret doors and a slide has been integrated into the design of one of the two staircases.
The master bedroom is placed in the loft space and contains a Juliette balcony.
