Redevelopment of a grade II listed building in Newcastle city centre into flexible office space
Cooper's Auction Yard, an 1897 building, is an example of a purpose built, multi-storey horse and carriage repository, close to Newcastle Central Station.
The renovation has maintained elements of the original plan, such as the central light well and ramps. Recessed brick bays in the front elevation have been replaced by three-storey glazing, with the addition of roof lights, allowing views deep into the building while some brick bays have been restored.
The building achieved a BREEAM very good rating.
