A building you can see into – the maple-clad offices sit inside the glazed box, reversing the more common glazed atrium model
Alan Williams (website) Download Original
Maple clad office block enclosed in a glazed box situated on a business park near Heathrow Airport
The cruciform plan of the office set within a square glazed envelope creates four triangular shaped conservatory spaces around the perimeter of the building.
These glazed areas act as environmental buffer zones cutting heat loss from the building and providing sheltered garden spaces with view of the surrounding landscape. The unheated conservatories allow users of the offices to open windows and control their own environment.
