Centred around the client's love of food and cooking, Pensaer have delivered a home programmed around the act of hosting and serving food, bringing people together in one common place.

The project is a testament to bespoke craftsmanship, featuring high-quality, handmade materials that ensure the home’s ability to adapt to future needs and diverse uses. The house is organised around communal spaces that inspire connection, including an expansive kitchen and dining area made from stainless steel and designed to enable socialising whilst cooking a delicious meal. This focus on hosting and sharing is woven throughout, with intentional design elements that make each gathering feel meaningful and memorable. Brightly coloured beams provide a playful, modern touch while their industrial materials are balanced by warm timber flooring, creating a unique interplay between industrial and domestic aesthetics. This approach showcases an innovative reimagining of Victorian architecture, allowing the home’s personality to shine through with a sense of character that’s both familiar and fresh. In the same space the origami-inspired glazed roof of the extension allows natural light to flood the main living spaces whilst pushing the boundaries of design and functionality. Elsewhere in the project rooms have been opened up or reorganised to create generous spaces that are as full of character as the main dining space of the house. In the basement a new bedroom, living space and ensuite has been thoughtfully accommodated into what used to be storage rooms. Moments of joy and fun have been integrated where possible, such as the new bathroom suite on the half floor level of the house which is colour drenched in bright blue paint and tiles. In loft of the house a new dormer window and skylight has been added and clad internally with natural wood creating a perfect work/study for the client.
