Sebert Road
Patrick Crowe Architects, London, 2023
This project transforms a near-derelict Victorian house into a vibrant family home, using light, material, colour, and detail to revive its character.
The property had been under the threat of demolition due to its poor condition. The decision was made to renew the existing rather than demolish and rebuild. Extensive structural stabilising work was initially required to secure the existing property and once this had been completed, a substantial upgrade was undertaken. Delicately focussed adjustments, modifications and details have all been sensitively worked into the home to create a light-filled contemporary family home without losing the presence of the 19th Century ‘host’ property.
