“London Hairport” is a bespoke pop-up mobile hair salon, providing a unique, innovative opportunity for hairdressing services, initially, at two locations on the Regent’s Place Development in Central London

It is also possible to transport the Pop-up Salon to other sites around the country, being fully road-worthy and meeting VCA Type approval regulations. With a luxury experience paramount, high quality finishes have been utilised both inside and out. Externally, aluminium composite cladding, as a lightweight and highly recyclable material gives a robust, slightly reflective finish reminiscent of the ‘50s Airstream but reinterpreted with a contemporary twist.

One elevation is double-glazed from floor to ceiling and external sliding, perforate Aluminium Panels provide solar control, operational flexibility and privacy. Access steps and entry canopy fold out from the rear elevation. With weight being crucial to ensure compliance there was no room for superfluity, every millimetre of space is utilised to provide all the functions one would expect in a high-end, state-of-the-art hairdressing salon.

Tea and coffee making facilities with mini-fridge; illuminated product display, pay point, colour station and comfortable, adjustable salon chairs sit in front of a bespoke continuous sculpted countertop which incorporates hair-washing facilities, wireless phone charging points and styling-implement storage. Whilst in the static position the salon has the benefit of plugging into the on-site power, water supply and drainage services.

Water tanks built into the chassis enable the Hairport to provide a fully functioning off-grid operation when on the road. The aim is to take a LonDon Hairport on tour during Festival Season in 2020.
