An artist's studio built using recycled materials
Having worked with this client on a commercial venture, the practice was then to design a studio to be built in their back garden.
The brief was to create two distinct open plan spaces on two levels which would allow the couple to work independently.
Unusually, the project was also strongly influenced by the clients’ wish to construct it themselves comprising a minimum of 75 per cent recycled materials.
These materials, including windows, cladding panels and timber, would be sourced from demolition works, skips and recycling centres.
