Conversion of a redundant 1990s office building into a medical centre
The existing office block was substantially extended to create a 1,600m2 medical centre that houses 16 doctors, five nurses, a pharmacy and a dental suite.
As well as extending the steel-frame building to the front the interior was remodelled and a new third floor added to the building. The main entrance has been moved and a large canopy reflecting the existing curved stair tower added. Opening out onto a terrace, the third storey houses a pavilion for meeting and conference space and is set back from the north-east elevation.
Two new staircases were installed into the existing structure to improve the circulation.
