Redevelopment of the Grade II listed Bethnal Green town hall, with accommodation consisting of hotel rooms, serviced apartments and several luxury suites
Located in London’s East End the reinstated building houses 98 separate accommodations.
It featues an extension of 1,500m2 with a laser-cut pattern skin that contrasts with the classical stone and brick facade of the existing building.
Original elements of the building have been retained inside including marble halls and staircases. One of the spaces, the De Montfort suite, features triple height ceilings with arched, stained glass windows.
On the lower ground floor are the pool and gymnasium. The pool area is mostly white marble with brass decorations and is naturally lit with a roof light.
The materials used inside include Corian, brass, stones and glazing. The spaces have white walls with wood flooring. Rooms are fitted with sliding partitions and curtains for flexibility.
