Refurbishment of the existing 1970s building and construction of an extension including classrooms, library/ ITC suite and necessary ancillary accommodation
The enlarged facilities converted the previous single form infants school for ages 3 to 7, to a junior school for children up to the age of 11.
The scheme also involved improvements to the playgrounds and the external environment. The management strategy allows for the school facilities to be used by the local community out of hours and at other appropriate occasions.
Grange School forms part of the wider Brooks Estate regeneration programme, providing essential primary school facilities for the developing area.
