School in Southwark for 70 boys between the ages of eleven and sixteen with behavioural problems
The two-story building, predominately clad in yellow brick, houses all of the school's functions under one roof.
The school's ground floor is arranged around one long central double height, top-lit, corridor that runs from the entrance to the rear gardens. This 'street' provides access to all of the school's major functions and circulation spaces. The first floor of the building contains teaching spaces arranged around a central courtyard.
The use of internal windows to provide clear sight lines throughout the building and the lack of dead-end corridors, aims to reduce rates of bullying.
