Exterior night detail
Two-storey extension comprising an industrial scissor lift enclosed by an exposed steel frame
A small two-storey circulation core extends an existing live/work building to provide lift access between the ground and first floor.
The twin polycarbonate skins to the frame and internal doors allow natural light into the building during the day, while affording privacy to its users. The vertical movement of the lift varies the brightness of the shaft at night, and illuminates the adjacent terrace.
