Refurbishment and rebrand of a 258 room hotel in Shoreditch
The refurbishment included all 258 guestrooms with an extensive remodelling of the façade and public areas of the hotel that include a 170m2 event space on the seventh floor a restaurant and a 3,900m2 lounge and reception area.
The public communal areas of the ground floor lobby house a sixteen seat meeting table and include a café, lobby bar, flower shop, retail units, a gallery area and restaurant with an open kitchen.
Each of the guest rooms has been designed to have a distinct identity and 'experience of place' with individual crafted elements, records and curiosities. The colour palette to the walls of the rooms are modest, a low key canvas for simple bespoke elements such as the oak finished bed platforms and day beds with reverse-denim upholstery.
The exterior facade combines dark engineering brick in various bonds alongside glazed and metal Crittal panels, cast bronze, galvanised steel and waxed finishes in reference to local metalwork traditions and craftsmen.
