Shell and core to house the Royal Ballet School, including renovation of three listed building
A commercial mixed-use development located in a conservation area, providing a retail store at ground level with 3000m2 of dance studios educational and support space above.
Part of the students education is to be permanently on show. Internal spaces are varied and so arranged openly to work within the restricted site. A double-height entrance foyer orientates visitors and allows for views into studios.
The five studios are the main spaces, they are double-height volumes on single levels of varying height with ancillary spaces wrapped around
arge glazed openings and light-wells to the studios help provide natural daylight, in combination to the mechanical lighting and ventilation used.
