Bus station providing facilities for local and long distance travellers
The station is situated close to Junction 14 of the M1 Motorway at the eastern edge of the city, on the same site as a Park & Ride. The design uses central Milton Keynes' infrastructural grid system, which is set at a 35 degree angle to North, as a datum line for the central spine of the building.
The spine connects the building's two main entrances and is highlighted by a glazed roof light running the length of the building. The building contains an indoor heated waiting area with customer information screens, a café, shop and ticket office.
The roof light continues externally through the canopy, which covers the the coach bays and an external seating area for passengers.
