Mixed use new-build split into two blocks, including 172 flats, 1200m2 of B1 office space, and a 970m2 Community Centre

The apartments share facilities of an on-site car club, community centre and office space, and a cafe. Residents can grow their own food in 'sky gardens' on the roof and the building has its own green lifestyles officer to support residents. This scheme has 31 per cent affordable housing.

One Brighton is a BioRegional Quintain development working in joint venture with Crest Nicholson. The high density mixed-use scheme is part of the New England Quarter, adjacent to the main train station; it provides 172 residential units above community and business uses. BioRegional Quintain formulated the development concept – based around sustainability, and One Planet Living, excellence of design and community.

The aim was to demonstrate that large scale residential buildings can be sustainable, offer good design and provide a place where people can live high-quality, sustainable lifestyles with significantly reduced carbon footprints. The building claims the greenest concrete frame in the UK.
