Conversion of a dilapidated and derelict Grade II listed barn into a modern family dwelling
As with any historic conversion the central challenge was to deliver the strict demandss of a modern space whilst respecting and retaining the spirit of the original structure.
Particular to the barn this involves a utilitarian [and local] pallette of materials and a desire to retain much of the drama and scale of the space with the use of double height voids that allow users a full appreciation of the building former working life.
