Extension and Refurbishment of Veterinary Practice in pitched roof bungalow to reorganise existing facilties and provide new Waiting Room, Consulting areas and Store
The existing premises was a bungalow split between commercial and residential use, located outside a small town and benefiting from panoramic views over the surrounding landscape. They inadequate in size for a growing practice and in need of reorganisation to avoid overlooking residential areas and provide additional storage.
A new timber-frame extension created clear separation between the residential and commercial uses of the premises, providing a light and spacious waiting area with windows located to provide key views and assist passive ventilation, an additional consulting room and secure storage area.
The style and form of the extension developed through a detailed survey of the variety of styles on the site, which were replicated in a modern tone.
rendered finish was used to match with the existing property, and a 2 tone paint finish developed to accompany new elements and place clear emphasis on the new entrance.
