Conversion of a near derelict 1920s semi detached house into a modern home
All the floors of the house have been reconfigured with the open plan ground floor extended on both sides, infilling a side alley and part of the garden.
The first extension contains the kitchen, utility and cloakroom, while the second forms part of the open plan kitchen/living and dining space that looks onto a hard landscaped terrace, with rendered planting beds, raised lawn and decking.
The rear elevation is a composition of glazed panels, including a part triangular first floor window. The Edwardian brickwork was rendered to create a series of cohesive elevations.
In comparison the front of the property was restored and kept conventional in appearance to help accentuate the contrast between the original and new parts of the house
The first floor level contains the master bedroom, two further bedrooms and a bathroom with a new loft space at the top of the house.
