Extension and refurbishment of a house located on a hillside in south London to provide additional space, improve environmental performance and take advantage of spectacular views
A three-storey extension to the side of the existing house contains a kitchen on the ground floor with a master bedroom suite above and a workshop in the basement space below. A terrace runs across the full width of this extension.
The upper levels of the extension are clad with sustainably sourced stained Siberian larch cladding and insulated external render has been applied to the existing building to increase its environmental efficiency.
The house also contains a living green wall and two green roofs that are irrigated by a rainwater harvesting system.
