Eight-storey facility providing 5,000m2 of technical space on five tenant floors linked to a two-storey generator building
The structure comprises a steel frame with precast concrete floor slabs and structural topping for 15kN/m2 loading. The external envelope has storey-height unitised cladding elements suspended from the floor-slab edge finished with silver folded aluminium composite rainscreen panels with a pixellated pattern of darker panels on stair cores at each end of the building.
The facility is the first data centre development in central London to obtain GLA approval, meeting sustainability criteria set by the government’s Carbon Reduction Commitment, by making available free waste heat at the site boundary for community use.
