BREEAM Award winning leisure centre built as part of the regeneration plan of central Bletchley
The leisure centre includes a 25m competition swimming pool, four squash courts, sports hall, health and fitness suite, dance studio, café, indoor bowling facilities and community facilities.
The architect aimed to design a sustainable sports centre - heating and hot water needs are met by a biomass boiler, natural ventilation is used to cool the bowls and sports hall, rainwater harvesting is used to supply the majority of the toilets and water consumption is minimised wherever possible.
The centre replaces a FaulknerBrowns leisure centre, noted for its steel-framed pyramid covered swimming pool.
