View of building facade and roof gardens

Brick and aluminium-clad low rise office building featuring south-facing terraces and extensive roof gardens
The main aim of the project was to produce a low cost building offering flexibility of utilisation and internal planning with a combination of open spaces.
The site was a main consideration within the brief. Situated on a south facing slope the building was orientated in this direction to make the most of the views. The sloping site resulted in a low rise building and underground car park.
The structure is made up of 7.5m bays forming a combination of open plan and enclosed office spaces. Most of the buildings structure is revealed on the ceiling in the form of truncated pyramids reducing the floor span and provide a space for ductwork.
The project also provided extensive roof gardens at a series of levels up to the sixth floor, including grass areas, planted beds and semi-mature trees.
