Refurbishment of a 1970's five-storey office building for use by product design consultant Therefore, including provision of a flexible ground floor space
Everything non-structural has been removed from the ground floor, creating a large flexible single space treated as four separate rooms, providing arrival, breakout and meeting areas.
A set of oak veneered sliding screens allow the separate rooms to be connected and disconnected when required. Smaller secondary rooms throughout the rest of the building have been upgraded and adapted. New glazed openings to the street with vertical timber vents are framed in an aluminium sleeve which echoes some of the features of the original building.
